Requirements:

​ To become a certified medical assistant, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Successfully complete a Medical Assistant course accredited by the Board of Education and the NHA.
  • Pass a Medical Assistant certification exam.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Hold a minimum of a GED or High School Diploma.
