Course Description and Details

At Health Up Training and Services, we are dedicated to preparing you for the next step in your career. Our Phlebotomy Technician training program teaches you the key skills needed for safely drawing, labeling, and handling blood specimens.

The program lasts three weeks, totaling 80 hours of training, in line with New Jersey’s requirements. All training is conducted in the classroom, offering hands-on experience in blood drawing with guidance from a certified instructor approved by the New Jersey Board of Education.

Requirements:

​ To become a Certified Phlebotomy Technician in New Jersey, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Complete a Phlebotomy Technician training course approved by the New Jersey Department of Education and Workforce Development.
    • Pass a competency evaluation, including 40 live blood draws.
    • Be at least 18 years old.
    • The National Certification Exam is available for certification.
